By the Sea Flower Show

The Piscataqua Garden Club, Member of the Garden Club of America, will hold a Garden Club of America Flower Show, By the Sea.

Featuring the Club’s four disciplines: Floral Design, Horticulture, Photography, and Conservation, all entries are provided by members of the PGC and affiliated GCA Clubs from around the country.

The show will be open free to the public Friday, June 16th 10:00 a.m.4:00 p.m. at the Old York Historical Society museums, 3 Lindsay Road in York, Maine.

Floral designs will be inspired by the maritime culture of the seacoast, such as the Marblehead to Halifax sailing race, sea swells, sailor’s valentines, and Appledore Island’s summer gardens. Beautiful displays of horticulture specimens, both cut and container grown, will delight and intrigue any garden enthusiast! Photography submissions reflect the effects of the sea and its weather.

PCG’s By the Sea will be judged by accredited members of the GCA JudgesProgram.
