Vegetable Gardening & Seed Magic
In honor of National Nutrition Month, the Food & Nutrition Department of Wentworth Douglas Hospital wants to help you put your best fork forward. What better way than with vegetables grown in your own garden!
We will again be hosting Jacqueline Bruhn, lifetime master gardener, who will give a 2-part community talk on Vegetable Gardening and Seed Starting. Successful Vegetable Gardening was held on March 21st.
On March 27th from 6:30-7:30 p.m., Seed Magic, will help you learn to save seeds from your garden for planting in future years. Then you will learn and practice techniques for seed starting at home. All participants will get to plant a six pack.
The snow date will be April 11, 6:30-7:30 p.m.

About the Presenter: Jacqueline Bruhn is a Strafford County Master Gardener. She has been guiding gardeners of all ages to grow more of what they love to eat for over 15 years. In California Jacqueline developed garden curriculum for elementary schools and helped maintain and grow a vibrant community garden in downtown Oakland. She currently grows vegetables, fruit and dahlias in Durham and is trying to extend the growing season under plastic. Jacqueline’s philosophy of gardening is grow what you love to eat and always remember that your garden is a great place to experiment.
