Seedling Harvest

State Forest Nursery Seedling Harvest
NH State Forest Nursery, 405 Daniel Webster Highway, Boscawen, NH

April 4, 6, 11 and 13, 9:00 – 4:00 each day

Cost: None
CEUs: 2, Volunteer hours: 5-6

Come join in the fun sorting and harvesting hundreds of wonderful tree and shrub seedlings.  Enjoy a great tour of the nursery grounds and learn the art of growing thousands of seedlings. If that is not enough to entice you, you can bring home free seedlings to plant, as a bonus.

Last year because of the tremendous support, we provided over 70 days of volunteer labor.  The nursery very much depends upon us because of the constant state funding reductions.  If you have never been before, come one or more days and join in the activities.  If you have been before, come again.  You already know what a rewarding and enjoyable time it is. Friends and relatives are welcome.

Bring a lunch, drinks and dress warmly in layered work clothing.

If uncertain weather trends dictate date changes and field conditions, we will contact you to reschedule with as much notice as possible.

If you are unable to come on the scheduled days and have previously attended, you may come on any harvest days, if you make prearrangements with Jack at westonpond10(at)gmail(dot)com.
