    Two days ago, the four-year-old across the street showed me her collection of acorns, which almost filled the basket on her very small bicycle. It was wonderful to see that acorns are still treasured enough to be carried in a bike basket. Thanks for this equally wonderful photo.

    I used to love collecting acorns when I was a little girl growing up in Michigan. Sadly you don’t see them in southern California and Amara will never know how much fun they can be! Great picture.
