Master Gardener Fall Class

The Fall 2016 UNH Cooperative Extension Master Gardener Program is being held on the Seacoast of New Hampshire.

From September 7th through November 30th, the classes will be conducted from 1:00 – 6:00 p.m. at the Portsmouth Urban Forestry Center or the Durham Public Library.

The members of this class are from both Strafford and Rockingham Counties, and their schedule will include the following topics:

  • Adults as Learners

  • Fruits
  • Research Projects
  • Woody Ornamentals/Tree ID
  • Intro to Permaculture
  • Public Speaking
  • Chickens
  • Food Safety
  • Aquatic Ecosystems
  • Entomology
  • Veggies
  • Pesticide Use and Safety
  • Wildlife Action Plan
  • Integrated Landscaping
  • Local Food in NH
  • Nuisance Wildlife
  • Invasive Insects in NH
  • Plant Pathology
  • NH Master Gardener Association
  • Case Studies

Current Master Gardeners can attend classes of their choice, and the class time counts toward continuing education hours.

Mark your calendars and plan to attend the final presentations and potluck on November 30th to help us extend a warm welcome to the new interns.
