On Thursday, March 24th, the Nutrition Department of Wentworth Douglas Hospital, Dover, NH, hosted over fifty employees and area residents in honor of National Nutrition Month to see a slide presentation on gardening basics.

The slide show followed a step by step outline for planning, preparation and planting of a home vegetable garden. After the slide presentation the enthusiastic gardeners then gathered at the potting stations set up around the room to pot up lettuce seeds to take home. This provided everyone an additional opportunity to ask Master Gardeners questions, practice gardening techniques and take home a six pack of greens for their garden.
